BODY WEIGHT WITH DENTAL CARIES IN ADOLESCENT PATIENTS

Dental and mouth disease that most people complain about is dental caries. Patients with dental caries with conditions of poor dental and oral hygiene, and seen to have a weight that falls into the category. This study aims at the relationship between body weight and dental caries in adolescent patients at the Adhyaksa Main Clinic of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia. This type of research is a non-experimental research, namely with a cross-sectional research design, to determine the dynamics of the two research variables, namely the independent variable and the dependent variable. The results of the study are that there is a relationship between body weight and dental caries. The majority of adolescents' weight is in the thin category and has an average DMF-T criterion of 5.2 which is included in the high criteria.
